Summer time with Nivea

Nivea is one brand I have used for years since high school when I started with skincare! I especially love how they have evolved and put heart into their products! 

I recently received a variety of Nivea products from Justmylook and was so excited as these goodies will be perfect for my summer holiday in the Mediterranean. Can you say, just in time?

I will need to disclose that, this is not a sponsored post and my review is purely based on my personal opinion and first impressions.

First on my list is the NIVEA Sun protect & moisture Sunscreen spray SPF30 which I am very familiar with, having used it many a times against sun exposure in my running days as well as on summer holidays.

I do enjoy the consistency of this spray as it quickly absorbs into the skin and immediately protects against sunburn.

It has a nice, light smell that is good enough to apply on the face and all over the body. The smell is also not over powering nor the oil greasy, it is absolutely perfect for everyday use. 

I have also dived into the water many a times and because it is waterproof, you need not worry about re-applying everytime you step into the pool. 

My only qualm is that it’s not available as a travel size however I hope someone at Nivea is looking into this

The Nivea Q10 Firming + Radiance Gradual Tan Body Moisturiser 400ml has become an instant favourite.

When I saw this I thought sunkissed and fabulous at the beach but with my natural tan from my ancestors, I did not enjoy the gradual tanning benefits of this product, instead I loved the fresh summer scent and the consistency of the texture.

It is really a perfect summer body lotion, very light and moisturising! My skin absolutely loves it and I’ve been using it daily. 

Biodegradable cleansing wipes have entered the chat!

Nivea has introduced this biodegradable range as an effort to be more eco friendly and environmentally sustainable. Although these wipes have no trace of plastic like the regular ones, they contain plant fibres that make the makeup removal process just as effective. 

I loved that when I used these wipes to remove my makeup, I didn’t have to go through half of the pack like with regular wipes .My face was refreshed and not dried out or irritated.

I usually carry wet wipes in my handbag and now that I’ve tried these, I’ll definitely be more conscious of what cleansing wipes I’m using on my face.

Let’s move on to face care starting with the Hydro care, caring lip balm 

This lip balm glides well on the lips , leaving them moisturised and smooth. I tend to lick my list after a while and found that the formula is long lasting.

It has a pleasant fresh aroma with no bitter aftertaste. Definitely my new lip balm of choice, plus it contains SPF15!

I also tried out the Q10 Energy Instant Recharge Sheet Mask .

I am such a fan of sheet masks as they are so convenient, you can use them anywhere.

This mask had my skin feeling recharged and refreshed after 10minutes. Yes! The effects are that instant, the sheet mask is infused with Q10 and Vitamin C to recharge tired and dull skin.

Nivea has a selection of cleansing bars and I tried the Refreshing Face Cleansing Bar with Almond Oil & Blueberry

The soap bars arrived in eco friendly cardboard which is recyclable and plastic free.

The bars are cute, portable and easily fit in one hand . They each have a unique hint of fragrance and smother easily on skin. I am not a fan of bar soaps on my face and tried this for a couple of days. It left my skin refreshed without drying it out.

The other face cleansing bars in the same range are the Radiance with ingredients rose extracts, vitamin e and Exfoliating, which contains active charcoal that deep cleanses and exfoliate.

Nivea have new face creams for day and night tume. The Naturally good day cream contains natural organic aloe Vera and is recommended for normal to combination skin.

I have oily skin (on the t-zone) and found the texture very thick and took a while to soak into my skin.

It could have been the hot weather but it didn’t really work for my skin. I might give it another try in the cold weather in winter when my skin loves a lot of moisture.

I did take a liking to the Naturally good night cream

This night cream has the perfect consistency for me, I love the rich texture that left my skin feeling supple and smooth in the morning. 

The cream contains organic argan oil that helps the skin regenerate during the night.

It absorbed really well and left my face moist and smooth.

It is made up of 99% natural ingredients and this makes me feel good.
